Guest Speaker: Ethan White

Ethan grew up and lives in Gawler, South Australia. His passion of filmmaking, which he has had since he was a young boy, led him to start producing his own television program "Off the Couch with Ethan". It is a show encouraging other young people and their families to 'get off the couch' and see & explore all the amazing places Australia has to offer. The show airs on Channel 44 in Adelaide. Ethan is extensively involved in a number of community initiatives and charities, including hosting Cancer Council’s Adelaide Relay for Life and the Gawler Show – South Australia’s largest regional show. Ethan actively cultivates leadership in young people across South Australia and was named a finalist in the 2024 South Australian Young Achiever Awards.

At 20 years of age, Ethan was elected councillor for the Town of Gawler and currently serves as South Australia’s youngest elected official.

To Ethan, media production has always been about telling a story. Whether it's the story of an individual, business, organisation or community - the key to what he does is to tell a story. Ethan believes that is what makes great, engaging and memorable content - whatever the subject may be. His storytelling abilities were recognised at the 2021 Antenna Awards, winning Best Outdoor or Recreation Program.
